“Bring Back The Love”: Reggie Calloway
Let me take a moment to introduce you to Soul/R&B singer and talented songwriter Reggie Calloway. Actually, many of you already know Reggie. He’s the founder and leader of the Classic Soul group Midnight Star. Remember “Operator”, “No Parking On The Dance Floor”, and “Curious”? Well Reggie has been rather prolific over the years, writing and/or producing #1 hits for Teddy Pendergrass, Natalie Cole, Levert, and won a Grammy for Gladys Knight’s “Love Overboard”.
“Bring Back The Love” is surprisingly Reggie’s debut solo CD. As the title suggests, the album is full of songs exploring conditions of life and the heart. The songs range from smooth mid-tempo flows to heart felt ballads, whose lyrics capture your attention.

“My Lady”, and “I’m The Very One” have a nice sophisticated up-tempo rhythm. The title song “Bring Back The Love” has a very radio friendly sound, which can also be heard in the mid tempo “It’s You”, “Sabrina”, and “Hotel Lonely Room”. The ballads on the CD include, “Walking Between Raindrops”, “Man’s Gotta Do”, “Going The Wrong Way”, and “So In Love”, address different stages of relationships.
“Bring Back The Love” is new Classic Soul. The debut solo CD from veteran Reggie Calloway. All I can say is; “What took you so long?”
